Rapper Kandy K is set to make her mark as one of Canada’s biggest music exports. The rapper’s star has been in the ascendant since discovering, during a middle school music project, that not only could she could sing but that she also had a natural flair for writing song lyrics.

Gaining a name for herself in Toronto by performing at local clubs and festivals, as well as reaching a worldwide audience through her savvy use of social media, Kandy caught the attention of rapper and pop artist Flo Rida who, after seeing her freestyles on Instagram, invited her to Miami to work with him in his studio. Impressed by her work ethic, skill and dedication, Flo Rida subsequently signed Kandy to his label IMG Strongarm.
